SFs and terrorists exchange fire in Kishtwar district of J&K

Jammu, Sept 21 (Reporter) Security forces and a group of terrorists on Saturday evening exchange firing thus triggering a brief encounter in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police said that based on specific intelligence about presence of terrorists, a joint search operation was launched by security forces near Danna Dhar forest area in the upper reaches of Gurinal village in Kishtwar district. "A conntact was established and few rounds have been fired from both sides while the area is cordoned off," said police. Further details are awaited. Earlier on September 13 two soldiers were martyred and as many were injured in a gunfight in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district.
