Mumbai, Mar 6 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex on Thursday gained further by 578 pts to open at 74,308.30 as buying was seen across the board amid positive Asian Market. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 100 pts at 22,437.30. The Nifty registered days high and low at 22,491.90 and 22,245.85 pts respectively. Registering huge gains of 700 pts on Wednesday, the BSE Sensex on Thursday opened on a strong note at 74,308.30, up 578 pts. It registered into days high at 74,308.59 and low at 73,415.58. The Mid cap rose 0.78 pc and Small cap by 1.51 pc. In 30 scrips, 16 advanced while 14 declined. The gainers were Asian Paints by 3.51 pc to Rs 2241.35, Tata Steel by 2.02 pc to Rs 149.10, Axis Bank by 1.85 pc to Rs 1034 and Reliance Industries by 1.65 pc to Rs 1196. The losers were Powergrid by 0.89 pc to Rs 262.55, ITC by 0.88 pc to Rs 401.80, Tech Mahindra by 0.88 pc to Rs 1525.50 and Maruti Suzuki by 0.77 pc to Rs 11525...////...
