Mumbai, Aug 26 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex on Monday rallied 539 points to 81,620 in the opening session on strong global cues. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 162.75 points to 24,985.90. The BSE registered intraday highs and lows at 81,820.23 and 80,278.44 points, respectively. The NSE registered days high and low at 25,043.80 and 24,874.70 points, respectively. The Mid Cap rose by 0.41 pc and the Small Cap by 0.28 pc. In 30 scrips, 22 advanced while 8 declined. The gainers were Tata Motors by 1.25 pc to Rs 1098.25, Powergrid by 1.19 pc to Rs 340.15, Reliance Industries by 1.11 pc to Rs 3033.25 and TCS by 1.10 pc to Rs 4513.25. The losers were Adani Ports by 0.28 pc to Rs 1486.05, Ultracemco by 0.25 pc to Rs 11296.20, Tata Steel by 0.19 pc to Rs 153.85 and Kotak Bank by 0.17 pc to Rs 1814.30...////...
