Sensex tanked 1384 points

Mumbai, Oct 3 (Reporter) The equity market continued to slid for the fourth consecutive session on Thursday, as BSE Sensex crashed 1384 points, below 83K at 82,883 till noon trade following a tension between Iran and Israel in the Middle East along with rising oil prices. The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange ( NSE) dropped 415.90 points to 25,381. All stocks were in red, especially Realty, which was badly hit, down over 3 pc, followed by Auto by more than 2 pc, while Bankex, Energy, and FMCG fell by more than 1 pc. The Sensex registered intra and high and low at 83,752.81 and 82,870.43 points, respectively. The NSE registered days high and low at 25,639.45 and 25,368.70 points, respectively. The Mid cap eased 1.62 pc and the Small cap by 1.23 pc. In 30 scrips, 3 advanced while 23 declined. The losers were Asian Paints by 3.64 pc to Rs 3158, L & T by 3.60 pc to Rs 3520.15, Tata Motors by 3.21 pc to Rs 934.40, Axis Bank by 3.09 pc to Rs 1188, and Bajaj Finserv by 3.04 pc to Rs 1914.50. The gainers were JSW Steel by 1.65 pc to Rs 1044.70, Tata Steel by 0.60 pc to Rs 168, and Sun Pharma by 0.11 pc to Rs 1921.50...////...
