Mumbai, Aug 9 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex on Friday surged 819.69 pts to close positive at 79,705.91 as global market was seen in recovery mode. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 250.50 pts at 24.367.50. Though, an oscillation was seen during the day, the sensex finished positive, as the BSE Sensex opened higher at 79,984.24, rising 198 pts. During the day, it was spurted 1098 pts at 79,984.24, days high, before closing at 79,705.91, up 819.69 pts from its previous close. Meanwhile, it was slipped 351 pts at 79,549.09 pts, days low. The stocks that lifted the market were Consumer Discretionary Goods and Services by 1.57 pc, Auto by 1.51 pc, Realty by 1.56 pc and Power by 1.33 pc. The Mid cap went up 1.21 pc and Small cap by 0.79 pc. In 30 scrips, 27 advanced while 3 declined. The gainers were M& M by 3.08 pc to Rs 1071.05, Tech Mahindra by 2.68 pc to Rs 1505.70, JSW Steel by 2.58 pc to Rs 909.25 and SBI by 2.17 pc to Rs 825.20. The losers were Kotak Bank by 0.13 pc to Rs 1770.50, Maruti Suzuki by 0.05 pc to Rs 12208 and Sun Pharma by 0.01 pc to Rs 1736...////...
