Mumbai, July 11 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex on Thursday smartly recovered 246 pts to open at 80,170.09 following gains in Energy, Auto and Bankex stocks. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 21.70 pts to 24,346. Tumbling down over 400 pts on Wednesday, the equity market opened in green as the BSE sensex registered intra days high at 80,170.09 and low at 79,870.38 pts respectively. The NSE registered days high and low at 24,402.65 and 24,310.15 pts respectively. In 30 scrips, 15 advanced, 14 declined while one remained unchanged. The Mid cap gained 0.46 pc and Small cap by 0.69 pc. The gainers were Tata Motors by 1.83 pc to Rs 1023.90, Tata Steel by 1.67 pc to Rs 170.80, HCL Technologies by 0.95 pc to Rs 1524.35 and TCS by 0.97 pc to Rs 3947.65. The losers were Nestle India Ltd by 0.96 pc to Rs 2594.85, Sun Pharma by 0.77 pc to Rs 1585.25, HDFC Bank by 0.71 pc to Rs 1614.70 and Powergrid by 0.51 pc to Rs 344.35...////...
