Mumbai, Jan 1 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex on Wednesday bounced back 368.40 pts to close at 78,507.41 on the strength of Realty, Industrials, Auto and Capital Goods stocks. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 98.10 pts at 23,742.90. The Sensex opened at 78,265.07, rising 126 pts. During the day it rallied 655 pts at 78,756.49, days high, before closing at 78,507.41, gaining 368.40 pts from its previous close. Meanwhile, it surged 393 pts at 79,092.70, day high. The Nifty registered days high and low at 23,915.35 pts and by 23,599.30 pts respectively. The stocks that lifted the market were Realty by 1.13 pc, Auto by 1.23 pc, and Capital Goods by 1.22 pc. The Mid-cap rose by 0.50 pc while the Small-cap fell by 1.03 pc. In 30 scrips, 22 advanced while 8 declined. The gainers were Maruti Suzuki by 3.02 pc to Rs 11195, M & M by 2.31 pc to Rs 3076.45, L & T by 1.99 pc to Rs 3677.60, Bajaj Finance by 1.62 pc to Rs 6932 and Tata Motors by 1.25 pc to Rs 749.95. The losers were Adani Ports by 0.82 pc to Rs 1218.60, Tata Steel by 0.80 pc to Rs 137, Zomato by 0.36 pc to Rs 277 and HCL Technology by 0.34 pc to Rs 1911.80...////...
