Mumbai, Jan 7 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex on Tuesday surged 247 pts at 78,211.65 pts as buying was seen across the board. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 90.50 pts to 23,706.55. The equity market, which had crashed in the last two sessions, recovered on Tuesday as scrips like Reliance Industries, Adani Ports, and Asian Paints rose in early trade. The Sensex registered an intraday high at 78,452.74 and a low at 78,019.80 pts. The Nifty registered days high and low at 23,795.20 pts and 23,679.85 pts, respectively. The Mid cap gained 0.90 pc and the Small cap by 1.07 pc. In 30 scrips, 25 advanced while 5 declined. The gainers were Titan by 2.92 pc to Rs 3511.20, Adani Ports by 1.65 pc to Rs 1181.90, Asian paints by 1.47 pc to Rs 2301.55 and Reliance industries by 1.24 pc to Rs 1233.25. The losers were Zomato by 3.51 pc to Rs 255.20, TCS by 0.47 pc to Rs 4075.50, Bajaj Finserv by 0.29 pc to Rs 1679.60 and HDFC Bank by 0.22 pc to Rs 1706.50...////...
