Sensex improves 83 pts

Mumbai, Dec 10 (Reporter) Snapping a losing streak of the last two sessions, the BSE Sensex on Tuesday rose 83 pts to 81,592.42 in the opening session as buying was seen in metal, oil and gas, and healthcare stocks. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) moved up 36.35 pts to 24,655.35. The Sensex registered an intraday high at 81,620.45 and a low at 81,416.56 pts. The Nifty registered days high and low at 24,661.20 pts and by 24,593.25 pts respectively. The mid cap rose 0.16 pc and Small cap by 0.17 pc. In 30 scrips, 20 advanced while 10 declined. The gainers were Bajaj Finserv by 1.40 pc to Rs 1661, Tata Steel by 1.30 pc to Rs 151.75, Infosys by 1.21 pc to Rs 1948.50 and Bajaj Finance by 1.05 pc to Rs 6941.35. The losers were M& M by 0.93 pc to Rs 3022.50, Tech Mahindra by 0.84 pc to Rs 1762.60, Bharti Airtel by 0.82 pc to Rs 1588.75 and Adani Ports by 0.49 pc to Rs 1260.05...////...
