Mumbai, May 19 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex on Monday improved 24 pts to open at 82,354.92 following gains in Utilities, Auto and Industrials stocks despite weak Asian Market. While, the Nifty at 25,005.35, falling 14 pts. Declining 200 pts in the previous session, the BSE Sensex opened in green at 82,354.92 pts on the strength of Utilities, Auto and Industrials stocks. The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 82,358.08 and 82,126.23bpts respectively. The Nifty registered days high at 25,058.70 and low at 24,965.80 pts. The Mid cap gained 0.41 pc and Small cap by 0.82 pc. In 30 scrips, 17 advanced while 13 declined. The gainers were NTPC by 1.27 pc to Rs 347.50, Tata Motors by 1 pc to Rs 738, Bajaj Finance by 0.81 pc to Rs 9241.50 and Asian paints by 0.50 pc to Rs 2365. The losers were Infosys by 1.13 pc to Rs 1571.80, TCS by 0.96 pc to Rs 3528.90, Eternal by 0.81 pc to Rs 243.75 and IndusInd Bank by 0.81 pc to Rs 775.95.
