Mumbai, Sep 23 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex remained on top for the third consecutive session on Monday, advancing 384.30 pts to close, life time high at 84,928.61 pts on strong global cues. The Nifty of National Stock Exchange ( NSE) rose 148.10 pts at 25,939.05. The equity market remained in green throughout the session, as the Sensex opened at 84,651.15, up 107 pts. During the day it was rallied 426 pts at 84,980.53, days high, before closing at 84,928.61, up 384.30 pts from its previous close. The NSE registered days high and low at 25,956 and 25,847.35 pts respectively. The stocks that glittered were Oil and Gas by 2.23 pc, Realty by 2.07 pc, Telecommunications by 1.93 pc and Energy by 1.80 pc. The Mid- cap and Small- cap rose 0.73 pc each. In 30 scrips, 19 advanced while 11 declined. The gainers were M & M by 3.29 pc to Rs 3049.40, SBI by 2.55 pc to Rs 801.80, Bharti Airtel by 2.26 pc to Rs 1751, Kotak Bank by 1.71 pc to Rs 1938.60 and Hind Unilever by 1.62 pc to Rs 3027.80. The losers were ICICI Bank by 1.25 pc to Rs 1323.50, IndusInd Bank by 1.05 pc to Rs 1463.70, Asian Paints by 0.97 pc to Rs 3276.90 and Tech Mahindra by 0.94 pc to Rs 1607.
