Mumbai, Sep 30 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex on Monday tanked 711 points at 84,859 in the opening session on weak global cues. The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange ( NSE) slid 206 points to 25,972. The equity market remained under pressure for another session on Monday as selling was seen across the board. The Sensex registered intra and high and low at 85,359.65 and 84,444.47 points, respectively. The NSE registered days high and low at 26,134.70 and 25,967.75 points respectively. The midcap rose 0.28 pc and the small cap by 0.51 pc. In 30 scrips, 7 advanced while 23 declined. The losers were ICICI Bank by 2 pc to Rs 1280.35, Axis Bank by 1.94 pc to Rs 1247.45, Reliance Industries by 1.65 pc to Rs 3002, Tech Mahindra by 1.51 pc to Rs 1585.50, and Tata Motors by 1.38 pc to Rs 978.70. The gainers were JSW Steel by 1.47 pc to Rs 1016.50, Tata Steel by 1.08 pc to Rs 168.30, and Asian Paints by 1 pc to Rs 3343.25...////...
