Mumbai, Dec 20 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex remained negative for the fifth consecutive session on Friday, falling 312 pts to 78,905.27 in the opening session as almost all stocks were in the red. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell 71.45 pts to 23,880.25. The Sensex registered an intraday high at 79,587.15 and a low at 78,853.26 pts. The Nifty registered days high and low at 24,065.80 pts and 23,826.65 pts, respectively. The mid cap fell 0.12 pc and Small cap by 0.01 pc. In 30 scrips, 8 advanced while 22 declined. The losers were Tech Mahindra by 1.46 pc to Rs 1729.25, Axis Bank by 1.45 pc to Rs 1092.35, Ultracemco by 0.82 pc to Rs 11579.40, and IndusInd Bank by 0.94 pc to Rs 955. The gainers were Titan by 0.89 pc to Rs 3385, NTPC by 0.89 pc to Rs 340.65, and Bharti Airtel by 0.71 pc to Rs 1611.05...////...
