Mumbai, July 23 (Reporter)The equity market remained under pressure for the third consecutive session on Tuesday, as the BSE Sensex drifted lower 73.04 pts to settle at 80,429.04 as the union budget presented on Tuesday by the Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman failed to cheer the investors. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) slipped 30.20 pts to 24,479.05. A seesaw trend was witnessed during the session, as the Sensex opened higher by 222 pts at 80,724.30. It surged 264 pts at 80,766.41, a day high. After, announcing the budget it tumbled down 264 pts at 80,224.32, day low, before closing at 80,429.04, down 73.04 pts from its previous close. Stocks that kept the market low were Realty by 2.15 pc, Capital Goods by 2.03 pc, Industrials by 1.48 pc, and Financial Services by 1.27 pc. The Mid Cap declined by 0.74 pc and Small Cap by 0.18 pc. In 30 scrips, 13 advanced while 17 declined. The losers were L& T by 3.02 pc to Rs 3541, Bajaj Finance by 2.07 pc to Rs 6740, SBI by 1.65 pc to Rs 863.90, Axis Bank by 1.62 pc to Rs 1263 and HDFC Bank by 1.42 pc to Rs 1617.50. The gainers were Titan by 6.71 pc to Rs 3471, ITC to Rs 497, Adani Ports by 2.69 pc to Rs 1506.30 and NTPC by 2.53 pc to Rs 383. Asian market witnessed a mixed trend, as Strait Times was up by 0.69 pc, Taiwan Weighted by 2.69 pc, and Kospi by 0.39 pc. While Hang Seng fell by 0.95 pc and Set Composite by 1.20...////...
