Mumbai, Aug 16 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex on Friday rallied 649 points to open at 79,754.85 as buying was seen across the board amid strong global cues. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 124.20 points to 24,267.95. The BSE registered intraday highs and lows at 79,988.22 and 79,306.69 pts, respectively. The NSE registered days high and low at 24,403.55 and 24,204.50 pts, respectively. The midcap gained 0.85 pc and the small cap gained 0.88 pc. In 30 scrips, 16 advanced and 14 declined. The gainers were TCS by 2.09 pc to Rs 4381.15, Tata Motors by 2.08 pc to Rs 1084.05, M&M by 1.97 pc to Rs 2800, Tech Mahindra by 1.19 pc to Rs 1542, and HCL Technology by 0.96 pc to Rs 1641.55. The losers were Titan by 0.78 pc to Rs 3375, Powergrid by 0.63 pc to Rs 331.35, and Asian Paints by 0.55 pc to Rs 3006.45...////...
