Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that self-help groups are powerful means to enhance the economic and social status of women. He said that these groups are not only fostering women’s empowerment but are also enabling women to achieve financial independence. Women associated with self-help groups play a significant role in the journey toward making Madhya Pradesh self-reliant. Empowered women, he added, are the foundation of a prosperous state. Dr. Yadav was speaking at the Self-Help Group Conference cum Nutrition Fortnight program held in Kukshi, Dhar district, on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighting the ongoing efforts for women empowerment in the state, said that women are being given 50% reservation in civic body elections. Additionally, efforts are underway to provide 33% reservation to women in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections by 2029. He also mentioned that registration fees are being waived when land or property is registered in the name of a woman, further supporting their economic independence.Dr. Yadav said that the Ladli Behna Yojana has played a vital role in strengthening women financially. He praised the women associated with self-help groups for their outstanding contributions across various fields. The Chief Minister added that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, women across the nation are becoming more empowered. He proudly noted that today, a woman from the tribal community holds the highest constitutional position as the President of India.
