Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan participated in a grand event in Sehore where they inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development and construction works worth Rs.113 crore 45 lakh 59 thousand. On this occasion, approval letters for various schemes like PM Awas Yojana, Kalyani Pension, Family Assistance, Sambal, and Divyang Marriage Promotion Scheme were distributed to the beneficiaries.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced Rs.50 crore for development works in Sehore Municipality and made several important announcements for the district's growth. He highlighted the historic significance of Sehore, recalling its sacrifices during the 1857 freedom struggle, where 356 revolutionaries laid down their lives.
Dr. Yadav reaffirmed that the welfare schemes initiated during Shri Chouhan’s tenure as Chief Minister would be continued. The Ladli Bahna Yojana will be further strengthened with the assistance amount increased to Rs.3000. Emphasizing agricultural development, the CM promised irrigation water to every farm in Sehore. He added that the district would soon enter a new phase of development as part of the expanding Bhopal Metropolitan Region.
Highlighting progress under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership, Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh is among the leading states in terms of development. He mentioned wheat procurement at Rs.2600 per quintal and comprehensive infrastructure development across all regions of the state. He also stated that the number of medical colleges in MP would increase from 30 to 50 within two years. Commending PM Modi’s global leadership, he said India now boldly confronts its enemies and is progressing with the spirit of “Live and Let Live.”
