New Delhi, Feb 20 (Reporter) Senior Congress leader K C Venugopal on Tuesday said that the seat sharing issue with the Samajwadi Party for the Lok Sabha election in Uttar Pradesh is in the final stage and discussions is going on.
Talking to mediapersons, the Congress leader to a question on seat sharing with SP said, “It is in final stage and anytime it can be finalized. Discussion is going on. It will be finalized at any point of time.”
When asked about SP going solo in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, Venugopal said, “Wait for sometime. We are on process. Our alliance team is there. Congress president has appointed a team of alliance leaders. They are discussing day by day. They are discussing with everybody. A solution will come. We are in a great hope that solution will come”.
It may be mentioned that SP chief Akhilesh Yadav while talking to reporters on Monday had said that several rounds of discussions have happened and lists have also been exchanged. When the seat sharing happens the Samajwadi Party will participate in Congress’ Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.
