Chandigarh, July 1 (Reporter) The Schedule Caste wing of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Monday rallied behind party President Sukhbir Singh Badal, with the wing leaders claiming that not even a single SC leader is with the rebels. Addressing media persons after a meeting of the SC wing, its President Gulzar Singh Ranike, former Minister Sohan Singh Thandal and Banga MLA Dr. Sukhwinder Sukhi said the entire rank and file of the SC wing attended this meeting and expressed full confidence in the Badal's leadership. They said whatever government schemes were enacted and implemented in the state nowadays for the SC community were framed by the Badal government, whether it is free power of 200 units, scholarship scheme for the students, Shagun scheme, Atta Dal scheme for the poor and other schemes were implemented by Akali governments. They said the whole SC wing is supporting the party President and no one has gone with rebel leaders. They said the SC wing stood in solidarity with Badal. The Istri Akali Dal also expressed complete faith in Badal's leadership and said he was best suited to lead the party at this juncture. Speaking on the occasion, the SAD president said the party had chalked out a plan to expand the Istri Akali Dal and ensure it reached every village and booth in the State. “We have decided to ensure the election of booth, village, circle and constituency level Committees headed by their respective presidents. We will also ensure election of district level committees of the Istri Akali Dal”...////...
