Chandigarh, Jan 10 (Reporter) The working committee of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Friday accepted the resignation of Sukhbir Singh Badal as party chief, party leaders said. The decision was taken at the party's working committee meeting held under the chairmanship of working president Balwinder Singh Bhundhar. Badal had resigned a couple of months back. Akal Takht had directed the party to accept the resignation, and the party had sought some time as Badal was performing Seva as part of religious punishment given to him by Akal Takht.
