S Korea says DPRK dismantling separated family reunion center in Mt. Kumgang

Seoul, Feb 13 (Reporter) South Korea's unification ministry said Thursday that it confirmed the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) dismantling the reunion center of separated families in the DPRK's Mount Kumgang tourist zone. The ministry in charge of inter-Korean affairs said in a statement that the South Korean government expresses deep regret over the DPRK's unilateral dismantlement of the facility, which was built under the inter-Korean agreement. It urged the DPRK to immediately stop all such actions, adding that Seoul will review relevant legal measures and cooperation with the international community. The construction of the reunion center was completed in July 2008 in accordance with the agreement of the inter-Korean Red Cross talks in November 2003 for the families separated by the 1950-53 Korean War which ended with an armistice, not a peace treaty...////...
