Moscow, Dec 8 (Reporter) Russian military bases in Syria were put on heightened state of alert following the capture of Damascus, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Sunday. "Russian military bases in Syria are in a state of heightened combat readiness. At the moment, there is no serious threat to their security," the statement read. Moscow is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of Russian nationals in Syria, the ministry added.
