Mumbai, June 3 (Reporter) The rupee on Monday surged 41 paise to 83.05 against USD in the opening session on the sale of the U.S. dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said. The local unit rallied because of the strong opening in the stock market after exit polls predicted the victory of the Modi government in the general Lok Sabha elections.
