Rupee gains 14 paise against USD

Mumbai, Sep 18 (Reporter) The rupee on Wednesday gained 14 paise at 83.75 against USD in opening trade on selling of the US dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the foreign exchange said. The local unit jumped due to weak dollar against other world currencies in spite of a negative opening in the stock market, traders informed.
