Rupee down 22 paise against USD

Mumbai, Apr 12 (Reporter) The Rupee on Friday dropped 22 paise to close at 83.42 against the USD on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Foreign exchange said. The local unit that opened at 83.37, sliding 17 paise it was tumbled down further and finished at 83.42, dropping 22 paise as compared to its previous figure.
