Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that on the occasion of the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Foundation Day, the special session is reviving memories of the State’s glorious parliamentary democratic traditions. He said that in this special session, the ruling and opposition benches will together review the Assembly's journey from 1956 to the present, and also determine the shared resolve and roadmap for a Viksit Bharat by 2047 and a developed Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed these views while addressing media representatives at the inauguration of a one-day exhibition organised in the Assembly premises on the occasion of the one-day special session, held to mark the completion of 70 glorious years of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He extended his congratulations and best wishes to the Speaker, Leader of the Opposition and all MLAs for convening the special session. Earlier, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav welcomed Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel on his arrival at the Assembly.
Governor Shri Patel, Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Leader of Opposition Shri Umang Singhar jointly inaugurated the exhibition in the Assembly premises on the themes ‘Moments from the history of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 1956 to 2025’ and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s ‘Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh’ – Two Years of Development and Service’. Other senior ministers and MLAs were also present on this occasion.
On the occasion of the special session of the Vidhansabha dedicated to building a developed, self-reliant and prosperous Madhya Pradesh. The exhibition installed on the Vidhan Sabha premises showcases rare photographs depicting the Assembly’s 70-year historic journey, along with displays highlighting the State Government’s public welfare schemes and development works.
