Itanagar, Mar 2 (Reporter) Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat visited the revered Donyi Polo Nyedar Namlo in Pachin Colony, Naharlagun on Sunday. The sacred prayer center, dedicated to the worship of the Sun (Donyi) and the Moon (Polo), holds deep cultural and spiritual significance for the Nyishi community and other indigenous groups of the region. Dr Bhagwat was warmly welcomed by the Namlo committee and local devotees, who expressed their gratitude for his visit. He participated in the prayer ceremony with reverence, immersing himself in the sacred traditions of the indigenous faith. His presence and active participation in the rituals highlighted his deep respect for the age-old spiritual heritage of the indigenous communities in Arunachal Pradesh and their time-honored traditions. The Donyi Polo Nyedar Namlo serves as a spiritual hub where prayers and rituals are conducted every Sunday to honour Donyi Polo, symbolizing enlightenment and the harmony of nature.
