Rs 300 crore being spent on drinking water schemes in Jaisinghpur: Agnihotri

Dharamshala, Oct 13 (Reporter) Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that about Rs300 crore are being spent on various drinking water projects in Jaisinghpur assembly constituency. Agnihotri said this while speaking at the closing ceremony of the state-level Dussehra festival in Jaisinghpur as the chief guest. He said recently Rs 36 crore have been given for the water scheme in Panchrukhi and two new irrigation schemes of about Rs 8 crore each have also been approved so that farmers can get abundant water for farming. The Deputy Chief Minister said a rest house of the Jal Shakti Department will be built in Jaisinghpur. The departmental officers have been instructed to complete the formalities for it. He said a new bus stand for Rs 2 crore will be built in Jaisinghpur for the benefit of passengers. Agnihotri said the Volvo bus service will also be started from Jaisinghpur. He said effective steps are being taken for the promotion and preservation of art and culture in Himachal.
