Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that protecting lives and property is the highest priority. Evacuating people from waterlogged areas is of utmost importance. He emphasized that the district and police administration, Home Guards, and disaster management teams must work together with full alertness and vigilance in rain-affected areas. Relief and rescue teams should be fully prepared and ensure that every kind of assistance reaches those in need without delay.

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited the disaster management room (State Command Center) located at the Home Guard Headquarters to assess the situation caused by heavy rains in several districts of the state and to review public safety management with officials.

During the review meeting, Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Home Shri J.N. Kansotia, Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana, DG Home Guard Ms. Pragya Srivastava, ADG Shri A. Sai Manohar, Secretary and Commissioner Public Relations Shri Sudam Khade and other officials were present. It was informed that heavy rainfall has been continuing for the past three days in the state, and over 2,900 people have so far been safely evacuated from villages and homes affected by flooding in some districts. Wherever reports of excessive rainfall or people being trapped in floodwater have come in, rescue operations are being carried out with full force.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav observed live operations of the relief and rescue work underway in districts from the disaster control room. He interacted with officers deployed in the rescue teams and gathered information about operations. He inquired whether there was any shortage of resources for flood rescue work. Officers assured that all resources are available and support is also coming from villagers and civil society. Dr. Yadav also interacted with flood victims who had been evacuated from submerged areas and assured them that the government stands by them at every step. He said the government will compensate for all losses, including homes, belongings, crops, and livestock.
