Lucknow, Jan 15 (Reporter) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Monday said that she has received invitation for the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, but has not taken any decision on whether to attend the event or not.
While talking to the reporters, in response to a question about the invitation for the consecration ceremony, Mayawati said, "Yes, I have received the invitation. And as far as joining it is concerned, I have not taken any decision in that regard yet, but our party has no objection to whatever programme is going to be organised in Ayodhya on January 22 regarding the Ram temple. In fact my party welcomes it."
She said, "Not only this, but in future, if any such programme is held regarding Babri Masjid, then our party will not have any objection regarding that too because our party is a secular party and has full respect for all religions."
In response to another question, the BSP supremo said BSP is a cadre based party and it runs on the power of body, mind and money of the people associated with the party and that is why we have our own methods which are different from other parties.
She said, "Taking to the streets on every issue is the style of other parties, not of our party. BSP connects with the society through small cadre meetings and this programme continues regularly and is still continuing across the country...////...
