St Vincent, June 26 (Reporter) Rashid Khan has been officially sanctioned by the ICC for showing dissent towards a teammate during Afghanistan’s tense victory over Bangladesh in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. Afghanistan's win secured their first-ever spot in the semifinals of the tournament, marking a historic achievement for the team.

Despite the tension, his subdued partner Karim Janat retrieved Rashid's bat and handed it back to him. Janat then knocked a single to give Rashid the strike for the final two balls of the over. Rashid showcased his batting prowess by smashing a six on the last ball, finishing the innings with an impressive 19* off 10 balls.
