Pilbhit (UP), Nov 7 (Reporter) A rape victim died after consuming some poisonous substance while accusing the police of not taking proper action on her complaint, police sources said here on Thursday. Police sources said that the incident took place in the Amaria area where a youth Asif made a physical relationship with the victim on the pretext of getting married. "When the victim put pressure on Asif to marry, he refused. The victim had alleged that police had colluded with the accused and filed the final report in the case." Police sources said that on Wednesday evening the victim consumed a poisonous substance after which she reached the police station. "When her condition deteriorated she was immediately taken to the district hospital" . After primary treatment, the victim was referred to Bareilly by the doctors. "The victim died during treatment in Bareilly late on Wednesday night," Police said. Police sources said that in her dying statement, the victim said that the accused had physical relations with her for years on the pretext of marriage. "When she put pressure for marriage, the accused back out," . Police sources said, "The victim alleged that when she registered a case in the police station to demand justice, the police, in collusion with the accused, filed a final report in the case.
