Patna, Apr 6 (Reporter) Ram Navami festival, to mark the incarnation of Lord Rama was celebrated with traditional and religious fervour in all parts of Bihar, with millions of devotees paying obeisance at temples across the state.
Millions of devotees thronged to temples in all parts of Bihar, since early morning, to offer Puja to Lord Rama at temples. It was also the occasion of the end of Chaiti Navratri, a period during which devotees performed special puja of Maa Durga.
In Patna, thousands of devotees queued up to offer Puja at Hanuman temple near Patna junction since early morning. The temple administration had made special arrangements to ensure that devotees could not face any difficulty in paying obeisance.
District administration of Patna deployed adequate number of magistrates and security forces near Hanuman temple to regulate the flow of heavy rush of devotees. Traffic arrangements had also been changed to check congestion on routes of devotees going to the temple, officials informed.
Religious processions known as Shobha Yatra were also taken out from various locations of Patna and culminated at Dak bunglow crossing. A total of 53 such processions were taken out amid heavy security arrangements in Patna. More than 503 magistrates and an adequate number of security forces were deployed at 388 locations in Patna.
Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar greeted people on the occasion of Ram Navami. Both Governor and the Chief Minister called upon the people to celebrate the festival with a spirit of love, brotherhood, and mutual co-existence.
