Rajasthan: Youth Cong holds rail blockade demanding Pradhan's resignation, NEET cancellation

Jaipur, July 4 (Reporter) Youth Congress activists held rail blockade agitation in various parts of Rajasthan on Thursday demanding cancellation of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET-UG) 2024 and resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Large numbers of Youth Congress workers took part in the agitation that were held in railway stations in this state capital, and Ajmir and Kota among other places. The YC activists assembled at the Gandhi Nagar railway station here carrying placards and shouted slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pradhan. They demanded Pradhan put in his papers over the aLleged irregularities in the conduct of NEET-UG examination. In Ajmir, the YC workers marched from Indira Gandhi Memorial on Station Road, shouting slogans against the Modi government. They held aloft placards with pictures of Pradhan, on which was written "Resign Leak Minister". When the protesters moved from the main road towards the station to stop the train, they were confronted by the police force. After heated exchanges, all the protesters took part in a sit-in demonstration. When they tried to enter the station premises, the police force put up a barricade and did not allow anyone to enter. Later the police took everyone away in police vans. Earlier, State Youth Congress Vice President Rakesh Meena said "Irregularities in the NEET exam, injustice with students, and marks scam in the exam will not be tolerated.
