Hyderabad, Mar 23 (Reporter) Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to field against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opening match of the season here on Sunday. Riyan Parag, leading Rajasthan in the absence of regular skipper Sanju Samson, cited the dry nature of the wicket as the primary reason for opting to chase. "Looks like a dry wicket, so we'll have a crack at it later," Parag said at the toss. "Captaincy means a lot to me, having started here as a 17-year-old. I’m excited to fill in big shoes. The impact rule helps with Sanju, and we’ve retained a lot of our core, which helps with the batting order." Meanwhile, Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins expressed enthusiasm about the team's stability and their approach to the game. "It’s great to be back. The core of the group and the coaching staff remains the same. We don’t think batting or bowling first matters much. It’s pretty hot, so we don’t mind bowling second. Would be nice to keep last season’s form going," Cummins said. Ishan Kishan and Abhinav Manohar will be making their debuts for Sunrisers Hyderabad in this match.
