Nuh, Oct 3 (Reporter) Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said that the people of Haryana want progress and have decided to vote for Congress and throw away the BJP government that has only given ‘unemployment and inflation’.
Addressing an election rally here, Gandhi said, “There is a wave in favour of the Congress. The people do not want a Haryana of unemployment and inflation. They want a Haryana of progress”.
Holding Prime Minister Narendra Modi responsible for rise in unemployment in the state heading for Assembly election on and forcing people to move to foreign countries in search of jobs, Gandhi said, “Haryana youth can get employment in America but they cannot get employment here. Prime Minister Narendra Modi talks big but he does not tell how Haryana reached the first position in unemployment.”
“Narendra Modi is running a government of billionaires. He waives off their loans but not of poor and farmers,” Gandhi alleged.
The Raebareli MP said, “This is an election to save the Constitution. The BJP-RSS want to finish the Constitution. Whatever the poor, farmers and labourers of the country have got, it has been given by the Constitution. If the Constitution does not exist, the poor will be left with nothing and all your wealth will go to those select 20-25 people. The Congress wants to save the Constitution and is fighting every election for it”.
“The BJP-RSS only spread hatred wherever they go. India is a country of love, peace and brotherhood and Congress believes in opening ‘Nafrat ke Bazaar mei Mohabbat ki Dukaan’ (Promote love in environment of hate) and same will be done here,” Gandhi said.
Urging the people not to vote for small parties alleging them to be ‘B, C, D, E, F teams of BJP’, Gandhi said, “I request you all to vote for the Congress and throw the BJP government out”
He said when the Congress forms government in the state, the seven promises that the party made in its manifesto will be implemented immediately.
