Lucknow, Apr 4 (Reporter) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said that providing quality housing and promoting ease of living is a top priority for the double engine government of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). While launching the registration process for the Anant Nagar Residential Scheme being developed by the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), the CM said, "After 20 years, on the occasion of the launch of a good residential project in UP's capital, Lucknow, I extend my best wishes to the people of Lucknow." He said that in line with an integrated town planning approach, over 100 acres have been earmarked for developing an educational hub. He said that the scheme offers high-rise apartments and plots, making it a commendable step towards fulfilling diverse housing needs. Yogi highlighted that the initiative is not just about providing homes but about transforming lives, improving living standards and taking a meaningful step toward achieving the vision of a one trillion dollar economy for UP. He underlined the central government's contribution over the past decade in expanding access to quality housing and enhancing ease of living. "The use of cutting-edge technology and delivering affordable housing ahead of schedule is the need of the hour and LDA is progressing in this direction," he said. Reflecting on the rapid pace of infrastructure development, he said, "Earlier, constructing a high-rise building could take 5 to 10 years. Today, with modern technology, structures can be raised within months, allowing faster access to better residential facilities." Citing an example, the CM recalled the Light House Project launched in Lucknow two years ago, describing it as a commendable initiative that continued progressing even during the Covid pandemic, thanks to its use of cutting-edge technology. Drawing from this success, he directed the LDA to adopt similar ultra-modern construction techniques for the Anant Nagar Housing Scheme. He said, "Our aim is to provide affordable but high-quality residential facilities within a green and spiritually enriching environment, where all necessary amenities are available in one place. This is not only a priority for the government but also a guiding principle behind the scheme’s design and implementation." He emphasised that while the scheme includes provisions for the high-income group, special attention has been given to the needs of economically weaker sections. "Dedicated allocations have been made for those eligible under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to ensure inclusive housing access," he said. Highlighting the integrated vision of the project, Yogi said, "It is our priority to ensure the best facilities, from pre-primary to higher education, technical education to medical education, within a single, well-planned campus. I am confident that just as this scheme has been conceptualised in a short time, its benefits will reach the people as soon as possible." Reiterating his commitment to transparency and citizen-centric governance, he directed LDA to begin preparations immediately and ensure that no individual should require a middleman to access housing under this scheme. "We must make Anant Nagar accessible to the common people as quickly as possible. Ease of living must be ensured through efficient execution," he said. He said that housing schemes like Anant Nagar and the development of new urban spaces are meaningful steps toward realizing the government’s vision of a one trillion-dollar economy. "These initiatives play a vital role in transforming lives, providing better housing and making everyday life easier for our citizens," he said...////...
