Moscow, May 28 (Reporter) A potential meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is feasible, but such an encounter must be the result of "specific agreements between the delegations," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Wednesday.
Peskov indicated that work on Russia's draft memorandum concerning Ukraine is "in its final stages," with its contents set to be revealed "soon," which he said would "pav(e) the way for the next round of negotiations." The Kremlin, however, "will not discuss document details via media," stressing that "coordination must happen discreetly."
On the logistics of future talks, Peskov noted that "the location of the next round of talks must suit both sides." He also emphasised that "there are many nuances in the settlement process that cannot be compromised." While "documents outlining terms for a temporary ceasefire are being prepared," Peskov confirmed that the "Special Military Operation continues."
He further cautioned that media reports on a Ukraine settlement should be treated "with caution," as "most are fake," and reiterated that
"the root causes of the Ukraine crisis pose a serious threat to Russia’s national interests...////...
