Phagwara, Aug 18 (Reporter) Mother of a three-year-old son reportedly committed suicide by consuming celphas at her parental house in Village Khojkipur on Saturday night. Balwinder Ram, the father of the deceased, told the police that his daughter Kirandeep Kaur was married with James Ghaat on March 2021. He alleged that James Ghaat went abroad and gradually called his parents in a foreign country, but whenever his deceased daughter insisted her husband call her abroad, he demanded Rs 50 lakh to arrange her settlement. Balwinder Ram alleged that his daughter committed suicide in deep disappointment after being harassed by her in-laws. On a complaint lodged by Balwinder Ram, police have registered a case against her husband James Ghaat, his father Paramjit, mother Saroj, brother Mehnish, and his wife Sonia on the charges of abetting Kirandeep to commit suicide.
