Chandigarh, May 26 (Reporter) The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has arrested a dismissed woman senior constable Amandeep Kaur of the state police for amassing assets disproportionate to her known sources of income, an official said on Monday. The VB spokesperson said a corruption case was registered against the accused at the VB police station in Bathinda range following an inquiry. During the investigation, details of her movable and immovable properties acquired between 2018 and 2025 were scrutinized, along with her salary, bank accounts and loan records. He informed that the probe revealed that Amandeep Kaur had a total income of Rs 1,08,37,550 during the check period while her expenditure stood at Rs 1,39,64,802.97 which is Rs 31,27,252.97 or 28.85 percent more than her known sources of income.
