Punjab : Sukhbir Badal resigns as SAD president

Chandigarh, Nov 16 (Reporter) Sukhbir Singh Badal on Saturday resigned as the President of the Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab. SAD sources said that he has submitted his resignation to the working committee of the party. Notably, SAD is in the news for its poor performance in the 2022 Punjab assembly election after it forged an alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party after breaking away with BJP. The party also faced rebellion. Badal was declared a Tankhaiya by the Akal Takht and SAD also decided not to contest the byelection to four assembly seats scheduled to be held in Punjab on November 20...////...
