Punjab : SGPC Chief Dhami awarded religious punishment for remarks against Jagir Kaur

Chandigarh, Dec 25 (Reporter) Akal Takht on Wednesday awarded religious punishment to Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Samiti (SGPC) President Adv. Harjindar Singh Dhami for using derogatory language against former SGPC President Bibi Jagir Kaur. Later, Adv. Dhami polished shoes and cleaned utensils as well as recited Japji Sahib at Golden Temple, as directed. Earlier, he met Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh and then appeared before "Panj Pyaare". He had sent an apology to Akal Takht , for using derogatory remarks against Bibi Jagir Kaur over a phone call with Gurinder Singh Kotakpurat. Punjab State Commission for Women had also issued a notice to Dhami. It had also recommended his removal from SGPC Chief post. He had presented himself before the Commission...////...
