Chandigarh, Mar 29 (Reporter) In a decisive action against illegal arms and hawala networks, Amritsar Rural Police apprehends four persons: Jagroop Singh, alias Baba; Hardeep Singh; Rajbir Singh, alias Gullu; and Arsal Singh, alias Rasal Singh, linked to Pakistani smugglers, said Punjab DGP Gourav Yadav on Saturday. He said that the accused were involved in facilitating illegal financial transactions and smuggling weapons. The police recovered 4 Glock 9mm pistols, 5 magazines, and Rs 3.05 lakh in Hawala money from them. DGP Yadav said that an FIR has been registered at PS Gharinda, Amritsar, and efforts are underway to trace forward and backward linkages of this cross-border smuggling network...////...
