Punjab govt sanctions Prosecution of Ram Rahim in sacrilege cases

Chandigarh, Oct 22 (Reporter) Three days after the Supreme Court removed judicial block, the Punjab government has granted sanction to prosecute controversial Dera Sachcha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Singh Ram Rahim in 2015 sacrilege cases. Sources in the Home department said that prosecution sanction has been granted by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, who also holds the Home Ministry, in three cases filed in Bajakhana police station in Faridkot. The cases involved alleged desecration of Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhs. Meanwhile, a Dera spokesperson advocate Jitendra Khurana had issued a statement claiming that the Punjab government had provided 'incomplete' information, and they will soon file a legal response providing in the Apex Court with 'complete facts'...////...
