Hoshiarpur, Oct 21 (Reporter) A father and son were killed after two motorbike-borne assailants fired shots at them outside the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in village Chakowal Brahmana on Sunday night, police said. Kashmiri Lal and his son, Amarjit Singh, both residents of Talwandi Arayian, had visited the PHC in Chakowal Brahmana to meet Kashmiri Lal's daughter-in-law, Ramandeep Kaur, who had been admitted after giving birth, police added. As Kashmiri Lal and Amarjit Singh exited the PHC, two men on a motorbike appeared and opened fire on them before fleeing the scene, police said further. The victims sustained severe injuries and succumbed to their bullet wounds at a private hospital in Jalandhar. Hoshiarpur SP (Inv.) Sarbjit Singh Bahia said that the police have identified the suspects, who will be arrested soon.
