Punjab : Commissionerate Police arrest 2 drug smugglers, 4 kg heroin recovered

Chandigarh, Mar 1 (Reporter) In a major blow to trans-border smuggling, Amritsar Commissionerate Police (CP) has apprehended two drug smugglers, Karanpal Singh and Ranjit Singh, and recovered 4 kg heroin from them, Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said on Saturday. The DGP said that the consignment, pushed in via drones, was linked to a notorious Pakistan-based smuggler using the Ferozepur sector for trafficking.
