Chandigarh, July 25 (Reporter) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann won't attend the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog meeting in New Delhi on July 27, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced on Thursday.
Dr Sandeep Pathak, senior party leader and strategist, said that the AAP, which is a part of the Opposition alliance, has decided that Punjab Chief Minister would skip the NITI meet.
He said that the NITI Aayog meeting does not serve any purpose and it is an exercise to push one state's interests over others.
Already, three Congress-ruled states - Karnataka, Telangana and Himachal Pradesh - have announced their decision to boycott the NITI Aayog meet.
