Punjab: Chandigarh police to probe Col attack case

Chandigarh, Apr 3 (Reporter) Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday directed to form a Special Investigation Team of Chandigarh police in Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath attack case. The HC also directed that no Punjab police official be involved in the SIT, which should be constituted within three days and the probe should be completed in four months. Earlier, the HC had sought explanation from the Punjab government for the delay in filing the FIR. The colonel and his son were allegedly assaulted by Punjab police officials outside a dhaba in Patiala on March 13. The colonel's family had demanded a CBI probe in the case...////...
