Chandigarh, Dec 23 (Reporter) The 'Rozgar Mela', under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs, GOI, was organized by the Headquarters of BSF Western Command, Chandigarh at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali on Monday. This is the fourteenth tranche of Rozgar Mela of handing over of Offer of Appointment letters to the newly inducted recruits and to carry forward the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to accord highest priority to employment generation. The event was organized across 45 Regional Centers, where offer of Appointments were handed over to the newly inducted recruits. The Prime Minister addressed the newly appointed candidates through virtual mode and congratulated the recruits and their families on this momentous occasion. Modi also highlighted that Rozgar Mela will provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their employment and participation in National development. The ceremony at the IISER, Mohali was presided over by Satish S Khandare, IPS, Addl DG BSF (Western Command) wherein physical copies of Offer of Appointment letters were handed over to candidates selected for various posts in various departments of Government of India. During the eventm Mr Khandare, ADG apprised the audience about the recruitment drive launched by Central Ministries and departments by filling existing vacancies against sanctioned posts in a mission mode through recruitment agencies like UPSC, SSC, Railway Recruitment Board, etc. The new recruits will join various departments of Central Government at various levels. He also reiterated that “Rozgar Mela” is an important step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s continued commitment to provide employment opportunities to the youth and ensure the welfare of the society. There was great enthusiasm among the newly appointed youth who were seen taking selfies and giving interviews to the representatives of media houses.
