Pune: Bridge on Indrayani river collapses, 10 to 12 feared trapped, one washed away

Pune, June 15 (Reporter) Around 10 to 12 people were feared trapped while one person was washed away in the Indrayani River after an old bridge collapsed today in the famed tourist destination Kundmala in Pune district, police said. The incident took place around 3.30 pm. Personnel from Talegaon Dabhade police station have reached the spot. Since it was a Sunday, a large number of tourists were present at the place. Some people were standing on the bridge. It is not yet clear how many people have drowned. I nitial reports said that around 10 to 12 people were trapped and one was washed away. The administration has started rescue operations and 5 persons have been rescued so far, said police...////...
